Overview
App reviews from the App Store flow into Intercom as conversations with the star rating preserved as a tag. Apple doesn't expose webhooks for reviews, so we poll the App Store Connect API on a schedule.
No real-time relay: new reviews arrive in Intercom within 30 minutes of being posted. Apple does not expose webhooks for customer reviews, so polling is the only option available from the platform side.
Authentication
Authenticated using an App Store Connect private key with access to your app's customer reviews. We walk you through generating the key in App Store Connect, and you upload the .p8 key file along with its key ID and issuer ID during onboarding.
